COTTO Invites Designers to Experience Over 10 Types of Surface Materials Integrated with Design, Reinforcing Its Position with the Launch of a New Automatic Sanitary Ware at COTTO LiFE Don Mueang and Architect'69 Event from April 28 to May 3
COTTO invites everyone to explore a new perspective on selecting 'decorative materials' for 'design work' through the idea of '5 CURATIONS', making it easier for designers to systematically choose materials. This year, we are also joined by '3 CURATORS', three leading architects: PHTAA, IDIN ARCHITECTS, and Stu/D/O Architects, who will tackle real space design challenges under the concept of 'REFINED / FLOW', reflecting the seamless connection between 'materials' and 'design' in a beautifully dimensional and practical way. The exhibition will cover a wide range of surface materials and sanitary ware and bathroom decoration products, showcased in two locations: the Architect'69 event at Impact Challenger, Muang Thong Thani, and COTTO LiFE Don Mueang from April 28 to May 3, 2023.

5 CURATIONS: From 'Diverse Materials' to 'Perfectly Harmonious Usage'
The '5 CURATIONS' are the heart of this year's Architect'69 event, where COTTO has curated a selection of 10 surface materials for designers to use together practically, covering everything from Tile, Vinyl Tile (SPC), Wood, Clay Décor, Stone Décor, Worktop, Mosaic, Grout, to Door & Window and Bathroom Furniture.
The curation consists of 5 groups:
• Rooted: A collection of wood-patterned materials that evoke a connection to nature.
• Real: Earth-toned materials that provide a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
• Radiant: A collection of white, gray, and black materials with a sleek modern aesthetic.
• Rhythm: Materials that emphasize warm and cool colors, creating rhythm and movement within the space.
• Rare: Special patterned materials for projects that require uniqueness.

3 CURATORS: Three Different Perspectives Creating Real Space at COTTO LiFE Don Mueang
This year's highlight is showcased at COTTO LiFE Don Mueang, transforming the product showroom into an idea space through collaboration with '3 CURATORS': PHTAA, IDIN Architects, and Stu/D/O Architects, who selected materials from all 10 Surface Materials through '5 CURATIONS' as a systematic tool to fluidly tackle design challenges in real spaces, including Specialty Café (Matcha room), Wellness Space, and Bathroom and More, each reflecting distinct conceptual approaches.
The Specialty Café (Matcha room) by PHTAA utilizes CURATIONS from the Real group with earth-toned materials and Rare special stones, including the 'Dan Kewian' tiles, an innovation developed by COTTO in collaboration with the Dan Kewian community in Nakhon Ratchasima, repurposing waste from the production process to create new value, reflecting local wisdom combined with modern design arranged in a façade that perfectly links design and sustainability.

The Wellness Space by IDIN ARCHITECTS questions the concept of 'Wellness' using mindfulness tools to design routing with LT by COTTO decorative wooden slats from the Rooted group, combined with the Real and Radiant groups, creating a space that encourages awareness in every step, designed for 1:1 walking while the floor gradually rises and narrows, with alternating dim and bright lighting to connect with the outside world while fostering inner awareness.
The Bathroom & More by Stu/D/O Architects conveys the definition of tranquility amidst nature through the concepts of Invisible, Silence, Nature, utilizing CURATIONS from the Radiant and Rare groups to enhance the dimensions of light and shadow through geometric space. The highlight of this pavilion is the SILN Series sink and faucet, designed to conceal the drain at the edge instead of placing it in the center, elevating the design beyond mere aesthetics, reflecting a simple design that harmonizes beautifully with the function of beauty.
Experience the first launch of the latest automatic sanitary ware model 'SENSIS', officially debuting mid-year, featuring a sleek design, comfortable large seat, and a Kick Sensor function for touchless flushing, along with an automatic system that enhances daily use. Additionally, be among the first to experience the 'SILN Series', a design that reflects simplicity, transforming the sink into a standout piece through the Invisible Drain that seamlessly conceals the drainage channel, elevating the design to be more than just beautiful, integrating functionality with faucets and sanitary ware in every aspect of the bathroom.
Deepen your design perspective during the CUTATORS TALK from the 3 CURATORS, who will discuss the integration of materials in '5 CURATIONS' to create a harmonious space on Thursday, April 30, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at COTTO LiFE Don Mueang.

At the Architect'69 event at Impact Challenger Hall, Muang Thong Thani this year, COTTO has designed the booth based on the concept of Refined / Flow through 5 Curations, categorizing materials by patterns and colors under 10 surface materials, inviting guides to emphasize the selection and interchange of materials for design to reflect the diversity of materials that can be practically used. Some works from the 3 Curators (displayed in real spaces at COTTO LiFE Don Mueang) will also be showcased at the COTTO booth at Architect'69 Muang Thong.
Additionally, participate in the booth activity 'COTTO 5 Curation Sticker Bar', where you can discover what type of designer you are through 5 simple questions and receive a free sticker that reflects your style.
